The 3rd annual Arizona Underground Film Festival has dead hookers, angry trannies and films by Brian Lonano, Stefan Popescu, Jason Kupfer and more.

The Denver Underground Film Festival will run on Dec. 4-6 and features several Australian short films, including one by Kenta McGrath.

The 4th annual ATA Film & Video Festival will take place in San Francisco on Oct. 21-23 and screen films by Martha Colburn, Sam Barnett and more.

The 12th annual Antimatter Film Festival features great experimental films by Martha Colburn, Clint Enns, Damon Packard, Leslie Supnet, Penny Lane and more.

This year sees the first ever Arkansas Underground Film Festival in Hot Springs, screening work by Andy Warhol, Stan Brakhage, Jon Clark and Neil Ira Needleman.

The 2009 PDX Film Fest includes retrospectives of underground legends Bruce Conner and Peggy Ahwest; short films by Robert Todd and Matt McCormick and more.
