Aug. 19: Secrets of the Shadow World is George Kuchar’s magnum opus, a two-plus hour ride into the world of all things paranormal, much of it presented through the presence of noted UFOlogist John A. Keel.

April 29: Brian L. Frye will be in attendance at this retrospective of his experimental film work from 1999 to 2002. There also will be a Q&A with him and Chrissie Iles.

Aug. 11: Light Industry presents a screening of the trippy 1967 TV special This Is Marshall McLuhan: The Medium Is the Massage.

After being homeless for the past few months, Light Industry — the experimental media screening series organized by Ed Halter and Thomas Beard — has finally found a new home in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, NYC.

Sept. 14: Electronic Arts Intermix presents Anthony Ramos’ About Media, a critique of how the news covered his imprisonment as a conscientious objector.

July 13: Japanese experimental filmmaker Onishi Kenji documents his father’s funeral by undressing the corpse and filming the body’s cremation.
