May 11: Wandering underground Bill Brown makes his way to the Silver Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles to screen his latest film, Memorial Land.

June 5: L.A. Filmforum is screening a selection of films by structuralist pioneer Paul Sharits, including his Wintercourse and N:O:T:H:I:N:G.

Feb. 17: Tony Gault and Elizabeth Henry will be in attendance to screen a selection of collaborative short experimental films.

Jan. 20: Amanda Movlai will screen a selection of her short films, which will be accompanied by a live soundtrack by local musicians.

Oct. 9: Los Angeles film curator will interview Captain Beeheart drummer John “Drumbo” French and screen the rare 2003 documentary Crow’s Milk.

Aug 21: Brenda Contreras and Mallary Abel present their touring festival of experimental film Cut and Run that focuses on cycles of minds and bodies.

April 22: To celebrate Earth Day, go see the classic silent Soviet film Earth by overlooked filmmaker Alexander Dovzhenko.
