Don Hertzfeldt is an American animator who specializes in making emotionally complex short films using just stick figures and basic line drawings that are sometimes mixed with more experimental film techniques. They're also frequently absolutely hilarious. He was nominated for a 2001 "Best Short Film, Animated" Academy Award for Rejected and many of his other films have won awards at film festivals all over the world.
