Still No CUFF?

By Mike Everleth ⋅ July 22, 2006

Still no official word from the Chicago Underground Film Festival about their lineup this year even though a slew of new announcements from filmmakers has flooded the web. Okay, I have two:

1) Weird Paul: A Lo-Fidelity Documentary by Stacey Goldschmidt will be playing on Aug. 19 at 1 p.m. and — as a special treat — the subject of the film, musician Paul Petrosky, will be playing at Chicago’s legendary Empty Bottle the following night, Sunday 8/20.

2) The Wild Condition by underground staple Rolf Belgum is playing, I believe, on Sunday the 20th. I don’t know the time according to this Live Journal blog by “elise.” Check out my review of Rolf’s previous film The Atlas Moth here and find out all about Rolf at his production company website, Fenris Films. The Wild Condition is a film combining fiction, documentary and nature film elements. Sounds very exciting by this great filmmaker.

I’m sure CUFF will be posting up their schedule and info soon, so check out their official website for when they do.
