Sci-Fi Geeks Get Boston Underground Film Festival Discount
For you lucky sci-fi fans in the Boston area, if watching 24 hours of classic sci-fi films with like-minded fans sounds like your personal idea of heaven, then go to this MySpace blog post (now defunct) from the Boston Underground Film Festival and you’ll get 5 bucks off your ticket (original price: $51). Just print it out and bring it to the Somerville Theater on Sunday, Feb. 18 at Noon.
Looks like they’re showing some good stuff: John Carpenter’s first film Dark Star, the legendary Forbidden Planet and one of my favorite films, Robocop; plus some oddball horror sci-fi flicks like Chopping Mall, The Crawling Eye and Slither. For more info, go to the Boston Sci-Fi.com website.
