Curated by kino21‘s Konrad Steiner and Jen Hofer, The Cinema Cabaret features live performers who redub old movie classics in a technique borrowed from the Japanese tradition of “benshi.” The soundtracks to the films will be muted and given new live audio, including in-synch commentary, ventriloquism and / or music. The movies that will be redubbed are On the Beach, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Bollywood’s Silsila and more.

Visit the REDCAT website for more info.
