I can’t tell if this is the first year for NOUFF, but it seems like it and I don’t really have all that much information about it. So, I’ll just reprint their general announcement:

The New Orleans filmmakers group, Shutter, and Blackhole Studios present “The New Orleans Underground Film Festival.” Our local alternative to the New Orleans film Fest. Featuring films by David White, Jason Vowell, Todd Voltz, Kevin Barraco, and more. Also screening music videos for local bands.

Unfortunately, I’m not familiar with those filmmakers, but since this is a one-night affair, I’m assuming it’s going to be all short films. If I get an official lineup, I’ll post that up in the coming days.

For filmmakers: If you follow this link to the New Orleans Shutter film newspaper, you’ll find a contact number about getting possibly screened. I’m not sure what the criteria is, but if you’re finding about this here for the first time, tell ’em the Underground Film Journal sent ya!
