Minneapolis Underground Film Festival Seeking Programming Director

The Minneapolis Underground Film Festival has put out a job posting notice for a Manager and Programming Director.

The festival has been in existence since 2008 and, for the past two years, has been held in December. Last year, the fest screened underground films such as Maximum Shame, The Taint and Eddies: The Documentary.

As of right now, the fourth annual edition of the fest has yet to be scheduled and no call for entries has been released.

Here’s the job description:

Wanted: Minneapolis Underground Film Festival seeking Manager and Programming Director.

Successful Film Festival with international recognition seeking a Skilled Manager and Programming Director. Responsibilities will be to process submissions, curate work shown, build programming schedule, update/design website, manage Press contacts,Vendors and Sponsors as well as manage event staff and venue. Maintain bookkeeping and financial accounts, create strategies for future growth. Must be a self starter and able to problem solve. Computer literacy is a must as well as attention to detail. Full training and consultation will be provided but eventually looking to have Manager/Programming Director take over full day to day operation without direct supervision.

Hours: Part-time with full time during the film festival.
Compensation: Depending on experience % of all Film Festival Income can run into the $1000’s+.
