2007 Miami Underground Film Festival: Call For Entries

Next year’s Miami Underground Film Festival will be held March 2-7, but their early submission deadline is fast approaching: Wed. Sept. 13! Getting your film in by this time will save you 5 bucks from the regular submission fee. Get your film in next week and it will cost you $20.

Normal deadline will be Nov. 13 and the fee will rise to $25.

MUFF will also being giving out awards, called the Golden Coconuts, in the following categories:

Best Music Video
Best Student
Best Horror
Best Erotica
Best Sci-Fi
Best Short (2 catergories)

They also accept all films, including works in progress. But their mission statement is thus:

The Miami Underground Film Festival was created to give the independent filmmaker a forum to screen their work. We put an emphasis on undiscovered or neglected talent from around the world. We hope to serve as a launching pad for future independent filmmakers in the spirit of Cassavetes, Rodriguez, Meyer and Jarmusch.
