Marysia Lewandowska, a Polish-born artist currently studying at Bard College, and Maria Lind, a curator and writer also for Bard, present a night of archival films produced in Poland between 1965 and 1980. The term “casting” for this program refers to the way the films “cast” women into different social roles. The films are all produced by artists, amateur filmmakers and TV companies. Below is the list of films screening, but for a more in-depth description of the program and the films, please visit the Light Industry website.
