The L.A. Filmforum is holding a retrospective of the work of influential choreographer and filmmaker Yvonne Rainer throughout their 2009-2010 seasons. Tonight marks the first edition of this retrospective, which will include her short films made between 1966 and 1969, plus a more recent film produced in 2002.

These are experimental films that either prominently feature dance or some choreographed motion. Yvonne Rainer will be in attendance for this screening and participate in a Q&A moderated by Lynette Kessler, the director of Dance Camera West Film Festival.
