Based out of Chicago, Deborah Stratman will present her latest documentary mini-feature, O’er the Land — which runs around 50 minutes — plus a selection of her short experimental documentary work. Her films focus mainly on landscapes and systems, particularly on how environment affects human interaction. O’er the Land examines modern American notions of freedom and how those notions are expressed through our gun culture, our relationship to the wilderness and our feelings about patriotism.
