April 24: Regional Support Network hosts a night of underground films from Portland, Oregon curated by Ben Popp, including work by Popp, Bob Moricz, Julie Perini and more.
March 13: Filmmaker Bob Moricz will be in attendance at the Northwest Film Center to present a selection of his short films and excerpts from his features spanning his prolific career.
Jan. 16: A Dangerous Cure is the debut feature film by director Kevin Jarvis and is an experimental horror movie shot on 16mm that examines the economic recession of 2001 in New York City.
Jan. 3: Rona Mark’s 3rd feature film, Objects Attack!, will be screening at NYC’s Anthology Film Archive with the filmmaker in attendance.
Dec. 3: NYC’s New Filmmakers is hosting a selection of short films programmed by Another Experiment By Women Film Festival, including films by Whitney Johnston, Olivia Ciummo, Beth Portnoy and more.
Nov. 18: Jeff Lambert of the National Film Preservation Foundation will be on hand to present selections from the highly anticipated “Treasures VI” avant-garde DVD collection.
Nov. 16: Philadelphia-based experimental filmmaker Peter Rose will be in attendance at this retrospective of his work from 1970 to 2013. Plus, he will screen some 3D works in progress.
Nov. 11: Experimental animator Lewis Klahr will screen a selection of his work from 2009 and 2010, including the award winning Wednesday Morning Two A.M. and the Nimbus Trilogy.
