2006 Brooklyn Underground Film Festival Is For Lovers

By Mike Everleth ⋅ April 25, 2006

It’s always nice to read online about guys and girls hooking up at an underground film screening. Sadly though, it sounds like the budding romance took a sour turn the next day in a story that could be called “Overly Sensitive Guys and the Girls Who Love Them.”

Elsewhere, the group blog Not Coming to a Theater Near You reviews a couple of Brooklyn Underground Film Festival shorts, including The Pity Card, a short/rejected TV pilot directed by Bob Odenkirk, whom I will always think of as “Porno Gil” from Curb Your Enthusiasm. Sounds like a really funny film. The other Not Coming review is for Oh My God!, a short film by John Bryant.
