BeFilm Looking For Shorts

BeFilm: The Underground Film Festival (formerly known as the Tribeca Underground Film Festival) is looking for short films for the first of their monthly screening series. The first screening will be on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 7 p.m. at the Bryant Park Hotel Screening Room, W. 40th St. in Manhattan. (Not allowed to use Tribeca in their name anymore, I assume they’ve decided not to keep the fest in that part of town.)

Wed. 9/13 also just so happens to be in the middle of Fashion Week in NYC, so any short film you submit — fiction or animation only (sorry, docs) — must have the theme of “fashion” for this one event. In the future, screenings will probably have other themes or just be free-for-alls. Plus, screenings will continue to be held the second Wednesday of every month at the Bryant Park Hotel.

There is no fee for entry, but all entries must be on DVD. Send submissions here:
