ATA Art Auction At Receiver Gallery

The Artists’ Television Access center, which holds the annual ATA Film & Video Festival and Craig Baldwin‘s weekly Other Cinema screening series, will be holding a Silent Art Auction this Jan. 23-26. The event will be held at 1415 Valencia St. in San Francisco and will feature work by over three dozen artists who have either displayed at ATA or are friends of the center. Proceeds from the auction will help ATA out on their 2008 programming and operating costs.

The artists that visitors can bid on include: Chris Arnold, James Bewley, Deric Carner, Mona Caron, Laure Cuvillier, Bill Daniel, Paz de la Calzada, Ezra Eismont, Mina Eloranta, Kota Ezawa, Javier Farias, Will Formicola, Judy Garvey, Shae Green, Gilbert Guerrero, Charles Gute, Kent Howie, Matthew Hughes Boyko, Dayv Jones, Casey Logan, Ytaelena López, R.A. McBride, Shannon O’Rourke, James Reeder, Ana Rivero Rossi, Todd Sanchioni, Christine Schmidt, Stephen Slappe, Chad Stayrook, T. Christopher Crandall, Kari Thorne, Zefrey Throwell, Zara Thustra, Liena Vayzman, Eduardo Waller, Rebecca Whipple, Scott Williams and Andrew Wilson.

Gallery hours are 10 a.m to 6 p.m. and admission is free. The Reception Party will be held on Sat., Jan. 26, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. with the auction concluding at 8:30 p.m. Reception tickets are $10, which may be applied toward a Silent Auction purchase.
