Directed by Kim Bartley and Donnacha O’Briain, The Revolution Will Not Be Televised is a documentary on Hugo Chavez, the controversial President of Venezuela, particularly focusing on the 2002 attempt to oust him from office. The film presents an eyewitness view of the coup d’etat and Chavez’s swift return to power two days later.
Rod Stoneman, an executive producer of the film, will be in attendance for this screening to talk about the film and its distribution. Stoneman is the Director of the Huston School of Film & Digital Media, National University of Ireland, Galway.
