The Revelation Perth International Film Festival is currently looking for participants for next year’s Revel-8 film competition, in which filmmakers must make an “in-camera” edited film on a single roll of Super 8 film stock.

Competition is open only to filmmakers living in Australia and the theme for next year’s Revel-8 is “Fantasy.”

One Super 8 cartridge and processing will be included in the entry fee for those filmmakers chosen to participate. However, if filmmakers want to use their own film stocks, that can be arranged with the festival.

Completed films will be scored by music composition students at the WA Academy of Performing Arts and projected during the Revelation Perth International Film Festival, which will screen on July 3-13, 2014. The specific time and date for the Revel-8 show will be announced at a later date.

Deadline

Entry forms need to be submitted to Revel-8 by April 4, 2014. Films will then need to be completed by April 22, 2014.
