2010 Boston Underground Film Festival: Call For Entries

By Mike Everleth ⋅ September 24, 2009

It’s not too early to be thinking about your 2010 festival run. In fact, this “call for entries” post is a little bit late. The early deadline for the 12th annual Boston Underground Film Festival has already passed, but the regular deadline is coming up super fast. Final deadline will be just after Thanksgiving. Here are the dates:

Regular Deadline:
Sept. 25
$30 – Short
$40 – Medium-Length
$50 – Feature

Late Deadline:
Nov. 27
$40 – Short
$50 – Medium-Length
$60 – Feature

To submit, you can either go through Withoutabox or through the BUFF website. As for what BUFF is looking for, here’s a brief statement from them:

The festival seeks the alternative, the confrontational, the political and the controversial. BUFF seeks films that celebrate alternative visions and sounds, offering a platform that encourages new ideas and work and pushes the envelope in style and content.

The Boston Underground Film Festival is one of the longest running underground fests in the U.S. and always features an incredibly impressive and diverse lineup of films, from horror to comedy to documentaries to the just plain ol’ avant-garde and experimental. Check out last year’s lineup for an idea of what they run.
