2009 Coney Island Film Festival: Call For Entries

By Mike Everleth ⋅ January 25, 2009

Coney Island Film Festival

Don’t let anybody tell you differently, but Coney Island is hands-down the coolest place along the entire Atlantic coastline. The Cyclone roller coaster, Nathan’s Famous, the beach, the boardwalk, the freaks — and currently best of all the Coney Island Film Festival, which is now open for entries. What more awesome place could your film play than at the world famous Sideshows by the Seashore? Seriously.

This year’s fest will run Oct. 2-4 and they’re open to screening a wide variety of films: Features, shorts, documentaries, experimental, silent film, animation and music videos. To get a good feel for what exactly what types of films they’re looking for though, you can always check out last year’s lineup. Deadlines are as follows:

Early Bird:
Feb. 27

April 24

July 3

Extended Late:
July 10

To submit, please visit either the official festival website or their Withoutabox page.
