2008 Milwaukee Underground Film Festival: Call For Entries

By Mike Everleth ⋅ January 22, 2008

If you’ve been paying attention the last week, I’ve been posting up “call for entries” posts from all over the world, from Australia to Canada to the U.S. East Coast to the West Coast to the South. But now, it’s time for the Midwest to step up to the plate. The first of two Midwest fests I’m going to close out the marathon with is the Milwaukee Underground Film Festival, which will run May 1-4, 2008.

Early Deadline:
Feb. 14

Fees: $10
Milwaukee residents: $5
2007 MUFF alumni: Free

Late Deadline:
March 15

Fees: $20
Milwaukee residents: $5
2007 MUFF alumni: Free

If you want to know what they’re looking for, check out last year’s lineup and read up on their mission statement:

MUFF is an annual event showcasing radically independent experimental, narrative, and documentary films from around the world.

We are committed to publicly promoting the best in provocative, innovative, bizarre, political and otherwise controversial film, video, and new media work.

These genre-bending creations provide a vessel for expanding the Milwaukee arts community by bringing together artists and art lovers from all walks of life.
