2007 Lausanne Underground Film Festival: Call For Entries

By Mike Everleth ⋅ February 18, 2007

To be held Oct. 10-14, 2007, the Lausanne Underground Film Festival, the only underground fest in swanky Switzerland, is now looking for entries. Deadline for all entries is May 31, 2007.

There are NO, I’ll repeat NO, entry fees. They are looking for films in the following categories:

In Competition:
Short narrative films
Short experimental films
Feature films

Non-Competition:
Animated short films
Documentaries

Films in competition can win cash prizes. The festival also shows lots of retrospectives (last year they had 6). Their short mission statement only says:

The LUFF is dedicated to show and promote innovative films and musics that do not have the benefits of wide distribution.

But, from the looks of last year, this is a very avant garde festival, which makes it sound like a real hoot.
