2007 Calgary Underground Film Festival: Call For Entries
The Canadian CUFF, i.e. the Calgary Underground Film Festival, is now open for submissions. The deadline is Feb. 1, 2007 and, best of all, there are no entry fees! And CUFF describes what they are looking for as such:
The Calgary Underground Film Festival (CUFF) is committed to celebrating alternative, independent, innovative and provocative films and videos. The festival will feature works that defy convention in form, style, and content by screening a wide spectrum of contemporary works in a variety of categories: feature, documentary, animation, short, and experimental.
Various awards will be given out. Last year’s winners can be found here.
Full guidelines and the submission form can be found at the CUFF site. One important tip to point out though: If you live outside of Canada and submit a film you must write on the outside of the package: “For Festival Preview Only; No Commercial Value” or Customs may charge you an extra fee. Canadians are touchy like that.
