Torn up photos of young Harry Potter fans who play in rock bands

Josh Koury, co-founder of the Brooklyn Underground Film Festival, has put that endeavor on hold to direct and promote his own new film, We Are Wizards, a documentary about Harry Potter inspired rock bands. Yes, there are Harry Potter inspired rock bands. (NOTE: You can now watch this underground movie online here.)

I haven’t seen the film yet, but if you’re attending the SXSW Film Festival this week, you can attend the movie’s World Premiere. Here are the screening times:

Sat. March 8, 1:45 p.m.
Tues. March 11, 11:00 a.m.
Fri. March 14, 1:45 p.m.

I won’t be at SXSW, but I really want to see this film. I enjoyed Koury’s previous film Standing By Yourself. On the basis of that, I recommend checking this film out. Also, Christopher at SpoutBlog must have seen an advance screener and has given the film a positive review. Plus, the trailer looks like it’s a lot of fun:
