2006 Twin Cities Underground Film Festival: Revisited

This isn’t coming from an official festival source, but apparently the Twin Cities Underground Film Festival is holding a one-day screening event on Sat. Dec 9th at the Zabee Theatre in Elk River, Minnesota.

The original 2006 TCUFF was a three-day event held Sept. 1-3 in Bloomington MN. You can check out the original lineup of feature films here, but the fest was mostly shorts (and held in the days when I wasn’t listing those).

I don’t know what all is going to be screened at this revisitation, but the closing film of the night is The Monster of Phantom Lake, a modern tribute to the B Movies of the 1950s. Director Christopher R Mihm and producer/actor Josh Craig will be in attendance and giving a seminar on micro-budget filmmaking.

Finally, the event is being held in association with the Elk River Area Arts Alliance. Always nice to see high-end arts organizations funding low-end art events.
