Jeff Krulik

Jeff Krulik is an American documentary filmmaker based in Maryland who specializes in profiling unusual and off-beat characters.

Krulik is primarily known for his bootlegged underground classic, co-directed with John Heyn, Heavy Metal Parking Lot, the cult '80s documentary about Judas Priest fans hanging out in a stadium parking lot before a concert.

In addition, Krulik also has directed several documentaries about fringe celebrities, entertainment personalities and people with unusual obsessions.

On October 20, 1986, the legendary underground documentary Heavy Metal Parking Lot made its world premiere at the music club d.c. space in Washington, D.C. The club hosted punk rock shows, avant-garde jazz performances and poetry readings in D.C. from 1977 to 1991; and, at least in October 1986, held movie and video screenings on Sundays.
