Kenneth Anger rocks the theremin with his band Technicolor Skull at the 40th anniversary bash for the Anthology Film Archives.

Here’s the list of all 330 films included in the Anthology Film Archives’ Essential Cinema repertory collection that was founded in 1970.

Feb. 7: Watch two underground film classics from the 1950s: Jean Genet’s notorious Un Chant D’Amour and Alfred Leslie and Robert Frank’s Pull My Daisy.

Jan. 16: Anthology Film Archives is screening the dream-like Vampyr, the 1931 trance film by Danish director Carl Theodore Dreyer.

Dec. 16: New Filmmakers is screening Rebecca Conroy’s beautiful new short film, From the Woods, about a home-schooled girl who falls for a young punk.

Dec. 12: As part of a week-long retrospective, the Anthology Film Archives presents a special screening of Andy Warhol’s first sound film: Harlot.

Nov. 5: Mike Kuchar will appear in person to present two lineups of his recent short films, including Ephemeral Seizure and Tarnished Utopia.

Oct. 30: To celebrate his 60th anniversary of living in NYC, influential filmmaker Jonas Mekas will screen a selection of diary videos, 1970-2003.

Oct. 20: Catch a screening of Making Our Own, a documentary by Adrianne Jorge about the noise band Neptune. Also: Ross McLaren’s Crash ‘n’ Burn.

Anthology Film Archives is hosting this one-night retrospective of early films by George Landow, aka Owen Land. The films are from the late ’60s and early ’70s.
