Other Cinema: Experiments In Terror 2

If you’re looking for some spooky pre-Halloween hijinx — and you happen to live in the San Francisco Bay area — I highly recommend attending Other Cinema‘s “Experiments in Terror 2” short film explosion. That’s on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 8:30 at the Artists Television Access center. Some of the shorts playing are:

The Mesmerist, dir. Bill Morrison
Amor Peligrosa, dir. Michelle Silva
Psych-Burn, dir. J.X. Williams
Early ’70s Horror Trailer, dir. Damon Packard

And more! If you show up early enough, you can also imbibe some free blood-red mulled wine while grooving to the “mournful dirges” of Douglas Katelus. And don’t forget to wear your costume! (Seriously.)

All the films listed above can be found on Other Cinema’s DVD compilation Experiments in Terror 2, which I’ve seen and highly recommend. I don’t know if I’ll have my official DVD review done before the screening, but I’m going to try. Even if I don’t, I can still say these are great films and will be a great night. Of course, I didn’t think to wear a costume while I watched the DVD…
