Movie Trailer: Shut Up Little Man! An Audio Misadventure
WARNING: Above trailer is extremely NSFW. (language)
If you lived in the 1990s, you’re more than likely to have heard the bootleg audio ravings of Peter and Raymond, two elderly San Francisco roommates who constantly threatened to kill each other.
The documentary Shut Up Little Man! An Audio Misadventure explores the original viral phenomenon. Young punks Eddie and Mitch surreptitiously recorded their perpetually combative neighbors through the walls and made copies of the explosive, profanity-laden arguments for their friends. Soon, those tapes were endlessly copied and passed around, inspiring stage plays, short films, songs, comic books and more.
The trailer above is little more than fans of those recordings imitating their favorite bits.
Shut Up Little Man! An Audio Misadventure screened at the 2011 Calgary Underground Film Festival and was selected for the prestigious New Directors/New Films screening series in NYC. It can next be seen at the Revelation Perth International Film Festival in Australia.
