In the not too distant future, a fallen soldier is reanimated as a metallic killing machine to stop Count Draculon’s evil hordes of death-dealing demons from Hell from conquering the Earth.

Manborg is the latest over-the-top ’80s sci-fi/horror retro flick from Winnipeg filmmaker and make-up artist Steven Kostanski. Taking the wild aesthetic he’s developed writing and directing short films like Lazer Ghosts 2: Return to Laser Cove, Kostanski has crafted a wild throwback to the ridiculous direct-to-video monstrosities that cluttered video store shelves a few decades ago.

The film will screen this weekend at the Boston Underground Film Festival.
