Moviate: Countdown To The Rapture (Part One)

If you think the whole Rapture phenomenon began in the ’90s with the Left Behind books, think again. Moviate will be screening a series of older religious scare tactic films that cover Rapture fantasies to freak people out into becoming better Christians.

Plus, these screenings will be of the original 16mm film prints, exactly the way they were meant to be seen. So, come to Moviate, but imagine yourself huddled in a church back room for Sunday school class to witness the end of the world for all rotten little boys and girls.

Now,¬†the¬†Underground Film Journal isn’t exactly clear if the below clip belongs to what is actually going to be seen at this screening. However, Moviate linked to it and it’s a real hoot. Well, more like it should terrify any heathen atheist into saying a quick prayer for poor Patty — just in case.
