2006 Milwaulkee Underground Film Festival: May 13-14
Schlemiel! Schlimazel! (sorry)
The Milwaukee Underground Film Festival is a two-day short film affair being held at the Walker’s Point Center for the Arts, with four approximately one-hour programs. That’s 27 short films by 25 filmmakers (if I’m reading the program correctly–you can download if off their site and check my counting skills). I’m not familiar with the filmmakers listed, but that doesn’t mean anything.
Also screening will be two installations: One by David Witzling called “Interference for Television With Metaphysical Re-Runs” (sounds interesting) and a 24-hour webcam by Alex Moeller called “Fenlandia.”
May 13 is also the day of the New Haven Underground Film Festival, but given the geography I don’t think there will be much conflict between the two events. And while both fests are 99% short films, the lineups are completely different.
