Lumière Et L.A.: Bad Lit Video Promo #6
Bad Lit: The Journal of Underground Film’s latest video promo is an homage to the very origin of cinema itself, the blockbuster hit that had audiences in a panic: L’arrivée d’un train en gare de La Ciotat by the Lumière brothers.
It’s been awhile since our last video promo. I originally wanted to do this months ago, but had to clear up a lot of red tape with the Los Angeles Metro service before I could get the go ahead for filming. So, that kind of stalled our progress. We’re just glad it all worked out.
And, as a reminder, Bad Lit is not actively commissioning video promos, but if you’re a filmmaker who wants a little extra promotion for yourself on the site, we’ll spotlight yours right here.
Here’s the guidelines:
1. Must be between only 20 to 30 seconds long.
2. Has to end with the official Bad Lit: The Journal of Underground Film title card. (Download the hi-rez title card from Flickr.)
4. Has to fit in with the theme and style of the previous promos, but we’re not going to tell you what that theme or style is. Our last two submissions by Clint Enns and Brian Lonano absolutely nailed it, though.
5. Upload your promo to your favorite online video sharing service and let us know about it!
