As the Boston Underground Film Festival gears up for its 14th annual edition on March 29 to April 1, they’ve just launched a Kickstarter campaign to help raise funds for operations. BUFF has become an indispensable institution in the indie film world, so please consider donating.

According to BUFF’s fundraising page, like many arts organizations in this down economy, their traditional sponsorship sources are way down, necessitating the Kickstarter campaign launch. Funds raised will go towards associated rental costs, printing and advertising as well as continuing its solid tradition of inviting and accommodating visiting filmmakers.

BUFF always does wonderful work supporting and promoting under appreciated and neglected films and the fest is run by a great group of people. Of course, most of their Kickstarter pledge rewards are for tickets to this year’s festival, but even if you’re not in or even remotely near the Boston area, still please consider donating.
