Find Your Agamemnon Counterpart

By Mike Everleth ⋅ January 29, 2010

File this one under “Strangest Video I’ve Ever Watched on the Internet.” It’s the deliriously uncomfortable short film Agamemnon Counterpart by Michael Robinson of the Moviate collective. It’s a video that completely defies description. Actually, it’s more like a virus that infects you as you try to puzzle out it’s meaning. I’ve watched it several times and I’m still baffled and amazed. And delighted.

Plus, as if one nightmarish version isn’t enough for you, Robinson has also created a lo-fi high-definition version of the film and posted one to the psychedelic site Yooouuutuuube where the images multiply and flash by like a freight train to nightmare land.

Robinson actually has a whole bunch of videos up on Vimeo that will mess with your eyes and your head. And his group, Moviate, puts on a bunch of great shows in Harrisburg, PA, that, if you live in that part of the world, do yourself a favor and check ’em out.
