On Dec. 30, 2006, our wonderful cat Earl passed away. My wife caught him from a litter of kittens living behind her grandmother’s house way back in 1990. The other kittens went to the humane society, but Jessica kept Earl because he was the cutest of the bunch. He was. He was a really cute, adorable cat with a very loving and lovable personality. His heart was as big as his body. We miss him terribly. I’m not sure how he roped me into it, but we had a little routine where I had to pet him every night while he ate just before I went to bed. I miss doing that for him.

So, I cut together a little video of Earl from happier times set to some Hawaiian music that Jessica picked out. Most of it was captured the first few weeks we moved to L.A.; and some of it from the Christmas that same year. The other cat in the video is Hank, who is still very healthy and who misses his friend like we all do.

This was a fun piece to put together and it was nice to see him so happy and playful again.
