The next event in Lili White’s continuously running Another Experiment By Women Film Festival will take place at two separate venues in downtown NYC on June 17.

First, at 6:00 p.m., AXW will screen at its usual location of the Anthology Film Archives with a lineup of short films by women filmmakers from the US, Spain and Australia. Then, at 7:00 p.m., there will be a completely different lineup of shorts screening a few blocks away at the Bluestockings Activist Center. This second program will include short films also from the U.S., but also from Mozambique, Brazil and Italy.

Also, if you don’t happen to live in NYC, you can still take part in the festival! White has been curating online programs of films culled from the live screenings that can be viewed on the AXW Online website. Plus, in addition to the videos, White is posting background info on each of the filmmakers and creating an invaluable online experimental film resource.
