Embedded above is an amazing, brand-new :30 animation by Bill Plympton created for the Festival of Drawn Animation event that he has organized with fellow animator Patrick Smith. The festival is a one-night event devoted to the best of animation that has been created by hand, not computer.

The Festival of Drawn Animation will take place Aug. 14 at 8:30 p.m. at the Nitehawk Cinema in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and will feature work by Plympton, Smith, Ryan Woodward, Colleen Cox and many others. For more info on this event, please see the screening notice on the Underground Film Journal.
