2009 Spooky Movie Film Festival: Official Lineup

The Washington, D.C. area is about to get the fright of its life when the fourth annual Spooky Movie Film Festival sinks its fangs into theaters Oct. 21-25.
The opening night event is an extra special treat when legendary horror director Herschell Gordon Lewis will be in attendance for a screening of his classic Two Thousand Maniacs. Plus, he’ll be on hand to show a preview of his latest gore extravaganza The Uh-Oh Show.
The rest of the fest is a combination of scary short films and frightening features like Evil Angel, Audie and the Wolf, The Death of Alice Blue, Must Love Death and lots more. On the second night of the festival, be extra sure to check out Attackazoids, Deploy!!, Brian Lonano and Jeff Jenkins’ ambitious sequel to their hit Attackazoids!, which hit the Spooky Movie last year.

Oct. 21
9:00 p.m.: Two Thousand Maniacs, dir. Herschell Gordon Lewis. Three couples on vacation mosey on into a tiny Southern town where they’re invited to a big meal — and they’re the meal!
Screening with Psycho Hillbilly Cabin Massacre, dir. Robert F. Cosnahan III; clips from HGL’s new film, The Uh-Oh Show.
Oct. 22
9:00 p.m.: Evil Angel, dir. Richard Dutcher. A modern-day detective tracks down an ancient, female killing spirit.

Doctor “S” Battles the Sex-Crazed Reefer Zombies: The Movie, dir. Bryan Ortiz. A fan of the marijuana takes a puff of some tainted stuff and turned into a sex-crazed reefer zombie.

Finale, dir. John Michael Elfers. A woman finds her son hanged to death. While everybody thinks he committed suicide, the distraught mom investigates a link to a teenage occult group.
