2009 Minneapolis Underground Film Festival: The Trailer
I’ll have the full lineup for the Minneapolis Underground Film Festival, which is set to run Dec. 4-6, up on the Underground Film Journal in a couple days, but in the meantime here’s the latest trailer from the festival. This runs like a little short film in and of itself, although I’m not sure where the images come from. As a festival trailer to get me interested in the fest, I like it a lot.
The audio on the other hand intrigued me so much that I went searching for the source. Seems it comes from something I’ve never heard of before: A musical adaptation of War of the Worlds by Jeff Wayne. I guess this thing has been around since 1978, but this is the first time I’ve ever hear of or anything from it. Damn catchy, though, and goes great with the trailer.
For more info on the festival, please visit their official site. The full lineup is already available over there, plus you can buy tickets and passes already. This is the second year for the fest and it looks like festival director Greg Yolen is pulling out all the stops for another stellar event.
