2008 Atlanta Underground Film Festival: Call For Entries

By Mike Everleth ⋅ January 20, 2008

Atlanta may be the home of CNN, but I bet Ted Turner and his gang of cronies are going to ignore the really important news coming out of their own city: The call for entries has gone out for the fifth annual Atlanta Underground Film Festival:

Final Deadline:
May 1

Fee: $20 for shorts (under 45 mins.)
$30 for features

The Georgian AUFF will run this year Aug. 20-24. If you want to know what they’re looking for, you can always look at last year’s lineup, as well as read their mission statement:

AUFF is a forum where artists can thrive outside the mainstream arena. Creative artists who continuously break the boundaries of film, video, art and music are promoted through AUFF, so they too may have a voice in a market which is typically saturated with commercial entertainment designed to satisfy the audience’s expectations.

Much more than the traditional stuffy film festival, AUFF will showcase short and feature films, art, live music and plenty of late night parties. Special events during AUFF include the Animation Attack! with two nights of animated shorts, demonstrations & discussions.
