The 2nd annual Montreal Underground Film Festival is running May 17-19, so I’m getting this up just under the wire for those planning/trying to decide to attend. Like last year, this is a very shorts-heavy fest, although I think they’re showing a few more features than last year, i.e. if you think of a “feature” as being at least over 45 minutes. Normally I list the longer films first, but since there’s so few, I’m mixing both the feature and shorts lineups together.

One little program note: On the 19th at 10:00 p.m., the shorts program will include Rebecca Conroy‘s I’m Serious, She’s a Bitch, a truly terrific film that I reviewed here. I’ve seen it several times on a computer screen, but would love to see in a theater with an audience. And now, without further ado, here’s the lineup:

11:10 p.m.:
Punk le Vote: Roach en Election, dir. Eric “Roach” Denis. Feature. Two punk rock dudes, Roach and Starbuck, decide to run for Canadian public office. From the fest description, I can’t tell if this is a documentary or not, but I assume it is.

12:30 a.m.:
5 1/2 Roofs, dir. Sepp. R. Brudermann. Feature. A documentary about 6 urban squats in modern-day London, a city where squatting is not a crime.

May 19

7:00 p.m.:
