Anthology Film Archives: Invisible Cinema

Audience watches a movie at the original Invisible Cinema theater of the Anthology Film Archives

This is the interior of the “Invisible Cinema” at the original Anthology Film Archives at 425 Lafayette Street. The theater was designed by Peter Kubelka so audience members could only see the screen and not each other, so there were black, wooden partitions between the seats.
